I like to add vignettes, like this, to my games.

Tigers don't need no ammo – that's just when the Bowie knife comes into play.

rustymusket12 Feb 2017 2:09 p.m. PST

Very nice. I need to add the stripes to my Tigers' pants someday.

Disco Joe12 Feb 2017 6:07 p.m. PST

That is great.

Braken, I love the way you do my Tigers. Another great job. The difference in their gear is a nice touch. TIG

Thanks guys for the feedback it's much appreciated

Greylegion, it's bits and pieces like these that these that can add loads of character to a collection.

DiasterWargamer, thank you. I need to try and get in to my ACW collection but it's time that I'm lacking I've plenty of ideas and figures to paint.

Ryan T I've got to agree there is definitely a time for the Bowie knife to come into play. Up close and personal!

Rustymusket, the stripes did take some doing but I reckon it was worth it.

Frederick, thank you also. I had to add something extra to my Tigers.

Disco Joe, thanks for the kind words.

TIG, I know I've done good when they get your seal of approval. Thanks again for the pointers and advice you've given me it's appreciated.

So guys thanks again, hopefully it won't be to long before I'm posting more additions to my collection cheers for now

Thanks Legion 4, I'm just trying to decide what to paint next? I think it's got to be more Rebs!

How about trying some of Mosbys rebel cav. Just for a tie in, the only two Tigers that were still alive at the end of the war that were at 1st Manassas were riding with Mosby.

Thanks TIG it's definitely going to be cavalry. I did a few conversions a while back that I still havnt painted. I've got to be in the mood to paint horses! Don't ask me why because I really don't know, but it will probably end being a couple of units rather than just the one.

I don't like painting horses until I get the base coat on the horse body. Then something takes over and I enjoy it. I get started by lining up the horses in a row facing me. I put the bottle of paint for each horse behind the horse. I put the bottles of paint for the horses gear off to my left, and wait for the urge to strike me. Currently working on six Fireforge Mongol horse archers.

TIG your a lot more organised then me, although my paints are roughly laid out by colour, browns blues reds all together so on and so fourth. I prefer using Games Workshop colours for horses, I like the slight sheen of the paints. I have some Fireforge Mongols but they are slightly down the list of priorities I'm afraid, although they do look cracking figures.
