I am having a WW1 Bayonet ship to US from the UK. What is the best advice for shipping it? What carrier would you ship it with? |

Any idea how much the packaged item will weigh? Anything over 2kilograms gets very expensive, so you have to know packed weight to answer your question. There are also prohibitions on shipping "weapons"; but not on shipping knives, so seller will need to be careful in describing the item. I always use Royal Mail "International tracked and signed" when posting overseas, but I make sure packages are less than 2 kg and within the 90cm limit (length+breadth+height). |

A bayonet will be well under 2kg. Have them send it Royal Mail tracked and signed for. That way you can follow the progress of your package and be assured that it will arrive |
