I am traveling to Sydney in early April. Are the any good game shops in Sydney? Also, any good book shops with a great military history section? I thank you in advance. |

Abbey's bookshop in York st in the city centre is worth a look for military and general history volumes and gets $ off me when I visit the Emerald City. Others will have to fill you in on game shops – I think the remaining ones are out in the Western suburbs. regards David F Brown |

Hobbyco is a general model shop, no miniatures except for plastic 1/72 (Italeri, Revell, Airfix etc) but plenty of material for scenery, paints, glues etc. Also stocks plastic kits in all sales from 1/72 upwards. It's in the Queen Victoria Building, George St on the 3rd floor. Just around the corner in Clarence St is Good Games with a very small selection of miniatures, rules etc. lots of board games and SW X Wing minis plus paints from Citadel, Vallejo and Army Painter. Two shops further down is Warhammer (Games Workshop). |

Tiberius, I forget the details but, no, Battlebridge/Wheels is long gone. Most recent Google Street View shows the empty shop front adorned with a variety of large unrelated self adhesive advertising graphics. Interestingly, the awning still shows (showed) the shops two trading names. Amongst other things, probably another small business succumbing to internet competition. Duck |
