This volume isn't released yet, but John Hussey wrote extensively on Waterloo in First Empire magazine and his work was excellent, thoroughly researched, and detailed. I'm definitely going to get this two-volume study and anything else that John Hussey will write. This could be a definitive volume, but, as with all new books, we'll have to wait and see. link |

Brechtel198: Well even though Waterloo is not my favorite battle and I have been very circumspect lately about which books I buy concerning it, it now seems I have no choice about some of these. Thanks for the heads up. John Miller |

You're welcome. I was hoping that John Hussey would write something on Waterloo and I am looking very much forward to these two volumes. |

So that's at least 5 new forthcoming titles on actions during 1815 we can look forward to, or not, depending on what they turn out like. After the new titles becoming available in 2015 I thought there might not be many on 1815 for some time. I was certainly wrong there. But at least one author is not bringing out a Napoleonic 1815 title this year. George Nafziger is publishing a book on Lutzen and Bautzen 1813, available at Amazon in April. I'm going to have no money left for miniatures and paints at this rate! |

I meant to add that I said five new 1815 titles forthcoming, although, at one time, there appeared to be to be more, but the publishing dates for some titles keep getting pushed further back? Not sure why that is? But I suppose we'll find out in time and I guess we have plenty of titles to spend our cash on anyway, so I doubt they'll be missed. |
