I remember that North Star used to carry the Phoenix miniatures range of 1914 Zouves. However, I called them today and they no longer carry them nor has an internet surf provided any stockists.

Does anyone know where I can buy some, or suggest alternative ranges?

I know I could possibly convert 1870 figures, but would rather have the real thing.

Cheers!!

I used Askari Miniatures Zouaves for my 1914 French Army:

Battle Honors 25mm has a nice range of 1914 Zouaves that are a size match with 28mm. They are available from oldglory15s.com in the US. Battle Honors has some good niche ranges that are worth checking out.

Thanks fellas, great ideas. I like the Askari figures and noticed some Turks in there (I feel another mountain of metal coming on). Alas, I'm based in the U.K. and shipping is going to be costly; done that before and Her Majesty's Customs and Excise love to liberate me of cash!

I've got a number of Old Glory 1914 Belgians, pretty good figures so I mat try their French.

Many thanks again!

Just an aside, but, I remember many, many years ago, painting Airfix Foreign Legion as Zouaves, to go with their other ACW figures.
