Have you looked at pasting on Two Hour Wargames reaction rules? |

I've heard it works quite well with no changes at all. The activation rolls shake things up nicely. |

Here is an idea I call "semi-solo." Recruit from the internet someone who will agree to act as general for the other side. Give him the scenario, army lists etc. He draws up initial deployment, and a general battle plan. You do a plan for "your" side. Now you attempt to execute the plans for both sides. Your internet buddy need only come up with the plan. It's not "play by email." BUT you might also ask him to adjust the plan once or at most twice in a game. So on turn 3, say, you email him a new situation report. He draws up a new plan as do you. This probably only works if you can leave the game set up for some time however. I did this a Team Yankee style game and it worked great. I actually had TWO teams of players, one for the US and one for the Soviets. I was not familiar with the rules and kind of screwed up the game. But it was a hoot for all involved. |

I agree that adapting the THW reaction system would be a snap if you wanted something structured. Otherwise the game is straightforward enough to play both sides, with the 'auto-pilot' side just following a few simple guidelines. -Will |
