Ages ago had the idea to produce a small hi- going on ultra-tech army, based around a small core of troops in PA with lots of supporting autonomous weapons platforms. Initially I was thinking of using Onslaught miniatures Okami Combine Kaiju Mega Rigs – they look big enough to acommodate a 15mm pilot, don't know if anyone can comment on this? But I've also more recently tinkering with a sci-fi military RPG setting with the same force structure. Basically I could do the the entire project of the shelf from GZG (or Khurusan or Brigade, etc, etc), but I though I'd consult the TMP hive mind too see if anyone can come up with some ideas, which are closer to what I've envisaged while doing the RPG design, rather than being lead by whats in the GZG catalogue.
First, the half-dozen PA suits I'm after, basically anything which scales in at about 2.5m tall, and looks like it masses ~3 tons, with hands should do it. Though clean lines and nother baroque or gothic looking! The suits don't have integral weapons, aside from a measly 120kw PD laser, but can add them, big-ass railguns or 2x2 missile cell with the addition of an exo-skeleton frame. Standard weapon being a handheld laser rifle. This matches nothing I've seen so I'd probably just spring for some GZG Japanese PA. I could convert by adding the frame, but… I'm basically lazy!
The drone weapons platforms come in three flavours, a four-legged platform packing a turreted big-ass particle weapon and missile cell, a six-legged platform with more weapons and quad-copter-style recon-drone. The walkers are invisaged as being about the size of a small car. The Recon drone abit smaller – again GZG do one but it's a bit chunky. There might be some 6mm stuff that could be re-purposed by I've never seen anything.
