Why are they wearing capes, or blankets, or whatever they are. They would only get in the way in a firefight. |

Camo-cloaks for disguise? They certainly look like they have been somewhat inspired by certain "Tanith First and Only"… |

Yes camo-cloaks,as soon as I saw the pic I said to myself Tanith First and I'm not even a WH40K player. |

Camo pattern fatigues would be more effective, have more utility, and be much less cumbersome. That's why our armed services wear them instead of blankets. I guess the cloaks are supposed to look cool, but to me they just look silly. |

"The Tanith uniform is black, with optional helmets for standard troopers and forage caps for the regiment's elite scout platoon. Camo-cloaks (made of cameleoline) are standard" "Cameleoline is a rare artificial substance which can be woven into the structure of most fabrics. Morphic polymer chains in the material automatically take on the colours and textures of their surroundings. The result is that after a second or two motionless the wearer appears to fade into the background, offering chameleon-like protection from prying eyes.[1]" |

They strike me as being more sneaky then running and jumping. When trying to remain hidden having cloaks that were camouflaged could cover over a multitude of sins. |

My only gripe is that models of the Tanith always seem to have bare arms and heads. Their fatigues have sleeves, damnit! And in the books they often wear helmets, berets mostly, and the scouts all wear beanies. Beautiful miniatures though. I am always tempted to spend more with Victoria Miniatures. |
