I am looking for suggestions from the GZG ranges as stand ins for the Colonial Marines from the movie Aliens. Yes, I do know that Khurasan makes a fine range as I own some, but I really, really like the GZG style of sculpting and want to move to their figures, if any will do, for my Aliens gaming.

So, guys with combat rifles and underslung grenade launchers, auto guns, and wearing helmets and some light body armor. Do they exist?

Thanks!!!

Two choices other than GZG as they are more true to the movies in look are:

Khurasan's Mid-Tech Human Defence Forces in Light Armour

Or
Friekorps/QRF Colonial Marines' Deep Space Marines

I have both, the Khurasan ones are a newer sculpt, but the Freikorps ones are a better match for new GZG figs in size. Freikoprs, Khurasan and GZG all make Xenomorphs.

Thanks, Stuuuh…but I did mention I own the Khurasan figs already…I am really looking for suggestions from the GZG offerings.

But I do appreciate the info!

From GZG you have a good range of choice. NAC are an obvious choice. Colonial Militia. Or if you go to the Tomorrow's War range the RANG have that sort of look.

I think the RANG are pretty slick and USCMC looking.

If you want to venture outside GZG, I would suggest Oddzial Osmy's Nova Vistula Legion.

GZG's NAC range, and/or their Indonesian troops might work well too.

Oddzial Army…those are pretty good looking figures. Wonder how they match with GZG?

Thanks for all the suggestions, GZG and others. Much appreciated, folks!!!

OA figures match up nicely with GZG.

What about the Colonial Defence Force. The rifles have under barrel grenade launchers.

The NAC marines are a pretty good fit and would be my preferred choice. Choice of colour scheme helps, of course; I tend to stick with something fairly close to the colours outlined in this splendid tutorial: link

It's also worthy picking some of GZG's spare heads for some headswaps to add a bit of character and variety.

Khurasan's Space Demons are probably the nicest alien stand-ins, but some of Pendraken's 10mm range work pretty well in 15mm.

GZG scilpts are larger than the Khurasan Aliens and USMC, a standing GZG figure is same height or taller than an Alien. Not a sledge of GZG, superb range, nor Khurasan which is equally superb.

Imho the NAC sculpts.are let down hy naf guns. The GZG Colonial Militia are a better choice.
