Probably been asked loads of times but….does anybody know if there's 28mm Star Wars figures to be had? My better half wants some to paint.

WotC figs are 32mm, and you can find them on eBay. They're prepainted, but you can just paint over that. Don't bother stripping, since it's apparently too much work for little payback.

WEG minis are 25mm, and made of metal, but have been OOP for longer, so some will be very expensive.

Fantasy Flight Games makes excellent 28mm SW figs for their Imperial Assault board game. If you like semi-cooperative "dungeon crawl" type board games, you can enjoy these for more than just the minis.

The Fantasy Flight Games figures are excellent. Highly recommended.

Might be a touch late, but I bought a load of the star wars "plastic army men" from target when they were on sale for pea nuts. All your favs, but in about 54mm. Also micro machines are on sale now from the last film, ships and figs in packs, figs about 20mm? Micros are pre painted though. I am sure there are other plastics out there, kinder surprise? Clix? There was a collectable mini game in 28mm a few years back.

Micro Machines are 18mm. I bought about a 100 of the 54mm figs when I saw a guy running a game with them using Bolt Action rules at Cincycon this past year.

Just checked. The 54mm Star Wars game is being run Sunday morning 3/4/17 again this year. I'll take some pics.

@UFBloke
by now youve made your decision and got all you need. But IMHO, 'Wizards' would by far be the best choice.
Though prepainted, like 'many' other prepainted minis out there they can be painted over,(Ive seen some great results here on TMP), using mini's of various 'Clix' sets.
It never occured to me they were 32mm.

@John Leahy
Please Do get and Post some pics. I would LOVE to see a 54mm SW game
