Ten years ago, I wrote a series of painting guides for Artizan and Crusader figures.

Artizan Guides are here

Crusader Guides are here
link

I also wrote painting guides for Wargames Factory but they are no longer available.

I am thinking about updating them.
I still have the original figures so could photograph them to a better quality.
Also, many paint ranges have changed so I would update the recipes to cover current paint ranges.

1. Do you use the guides?
2. What would you like to see updated?
3. Have you found any errors?

Thanks

Mick

Please yes!! All of my Fallsherms and USA 15mm and 28mm painted with your guides! New photos would be great. What paints you use and colors would help too! Any updates would be very helpful. Thanks for all your work and yes I have hundreds of figs painted from your guides..

I use them regularly, printed out and stapled into my painting notebook. Don't know if anything needs to be updated, I use them because I'm not expert enough to know that!

I have all of these. Really helpful and informative! They are all printed up and kept in a folder by my painting table. If you decide to update that would be awesome!

Thanks.

Yes, they are fantastic painting guides which got me into WW2 gaming. I had used them to paint some 1/72 soldiers and tanks for my son. I was a WH40k player back in the RT days and hadn't gamed since the mid 90s. I'm sure we would all appreciate and update if you have the time. I don't think their are any "errors" and liked how you presented the information with a mix of photos, text and background information.

Yep, I see them often when I google for painting guides but they do need an update. Go Vallejo if possible…

Oh and Mick, please provide fast version painting (which maybe entirely different). Painting hordes of soviets takes time…

Absolutely! I downloaded them, printed them, and keep them in a binder for reference and guidelines on painting. A belated "Thank you!" for your efforts…

Yes!

Thanks very much Mike, your guides are invaluable. One refinement if possible would be a little more on infantry equipment- radios, support weapons, ammo boxes etc. Please stick with Vallejo.
