"Star Saga - The Sci-fi Dungeon Crawler 2" Topic

"We've all had that Kickstarter that we missed out on that we really wish we'd been part of. Maybe the money's just not there, or you happened to just miss that it was running, or whatever. Well, for many companies, you don't have to wait all the way until general release to get your order in. Such is the case with Mantic, as they are currently taking Late Pledges for their Star Saga sci-fi board game.

Anyone who missed out on the original Kickstarter campaign for Star Saga, the sci-fi dungeon crawler from Mantic Games, can now jump on board thanks to a late pledge option.

Set in Mantic's Warpath Universe, Star Saga: The Eiras Contract is a science fiction dungeon crawler for 1-5 players, with optional rules for solo play. Featuring strong story-telling elements and immersive game scenarios, Star Saga sees players guide a team of mercenaries on a mission to retrieve stolen technology from a highly guarded research facility deep beneath the surface of the planet Eiras…."

I backed it. Taking just the basic pledge grants an absolutely amazing bunch of stuff (sigh…more minis to paint). It's Mantic, so expect the usual Kickstarter delays, but they do come through. Every one of them for me has been a delight when I got my stuff.

I've played it over at Mantic HQ. Really enjoyed it with only one minor quibble (which to be fair was down to an event in the scenario we played, rather than anything with the rules, which were quick, clean and fun). I enjoyed Dungeon Saga greatly, and this is very much an evolved form of that game. Needless to say, I've backed it heavily.

Going to pass on this one since I have another Kickstarter that I am waiting for plus needing to order something else.

Just so many Kickstarters that I can support.
