So we tried our first game of Rogue Stars last night. Simple scenario, one character each, no complications. Just enough to work out the core mechanics.

Fantastic, thanks for the report. I am currently painting up minis for Rogue Stars… I may have to create a QRS… but your idea for starting w a 2 vs 2 game is inspiring.

Played last Tuesday. Found a nice QRS over at LAF and it helps.

We're still using 2-figs per side and we've limited all hits to Torso shots unless Called. That helps too.

We're accustomed to ASOBH's smooth, simple combat resolution, so Rogue Stars still comes off as extra crunchy. We'll keep at it though. And we can always House Rule anything that feels tedious. But the scenarios possibilities and character creation is great.
