A 28mm modern road – is that so much to ask?

When nobody makes what you want, you build it … well, generally you start on it and it takes forever and may never get finished. But this time, the project was simple, the materials were readily available, and everything breezed by!

Looks the business!

Did you cut a template for the road markings?

That looks great. Anyone know where to get those Marx futuristic cars still?

@RR – I just used masking tape and mostly eyeballed it.

@saltflats1929 – they are rae as hen's teeth these days

What do you think the best road width would be for 15mm?
This is totally awesome by the way.

I'm using a canvas drop cloth, cut to desired width and length for my roads and rivers. Acrylic caulk and painting them up!

What I did was place one of my 15mm tanks on it and just "eyeballed" it. Works for me

A lane on a US road is about 12 feet wide so about 1.4" in 15mm. Take into account room for the lines and the outside edge and you need about 3" wide for two lanes.
