Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

HaeT are asking for votes and suggestions on their future production, so I have voted for Austrian 7YW as opponents to the Prussians. The masters have been made, and it is currently promised in MAC format – so separate boxes of marching, action and command.

Ideal tricorn troops for your Imagi-Nation armies (I currently use Zvezda GNW types)

7YW cavalry of any type would be good.

While I like the idea of Austrians, there is a relative dearth of 1/72 scale horse in plastic.

I'm with you, Marc! Can't wait. WATJ:Besides the discontinued Revell box set and a German resin firm, who else makes SYW Austrian Cav?

I did my part, I voted for the Austrians as well. The SYW is one era that has been neglected by 1/72nd manufacturers.

There are some Great Northern War Cav I believe you can use from either Strelets or Zvezda.

Thatīs true, and you can fudge the infantry too. I made a spreadsheet with all the ersatz figures but it would be nice to have the real thing. I will be crossing my fingers. For a really long time. grin

HaT are re-energised.

I suspect the companies has changed hands but regardless: crowdfunding projects
increased releases
commitment to quickly release everything promised
customer consultation
vibrant forum (I spend more time there than here now).

Expect anything from them.

I think itīs great- the Golden Age just keeps getting golder!

There is one set of cavalry from Zvezda, Revelle and Strelets. Hardly any. Zin Figuren might have something in metal. Lancer makes some in 20mm. Not sure how they look with 1/72 scale plastic. The last is from Histofigs with the old Scruby 25mm line. I have not seen these but am told they are pretty good.

Certainly not spoiled for choice.

I used lots of boxes of the Revell dragoons for both sides and the Zvesda Prussian hussars. Art Miniaturen has some useful metals in their SYW range. I have a few left over boxes of Austrian artillery and sprues of Revell Prussian infantry if anyone is interested.

Chris von Fahenstock has a range of 20mm SYW and has scuplted new figs for it. I know he has Cav for the range. I bought multiple packs of Grenzers from him. However, the line has not been availble for some years now. Maybe contact him?

Never heard of Chris or his range. Anybody have any ideas?

The re-release of the Revell range is indeed great news

But I still hope. Everyone interested in this period/scale/plastic has registered their thoughts over with HaeT on the website

The power of google. This seems a dead range. Link is via Outland games, but goes dead. From what I can see, it was a nice little range, but 19mm tall so wouldn't have matched withe the tall Revell, Zvezda and HaeT
