"2017 Schedule changes for Sergeants 3" Topic

Well our year has been a continuation of major life-changes that began the end of November 2016.

The owner of the firm where I work was seriously ill and it was touch-and-go for a while. We had to downsize at the end of the year and now there's a possibility of a total redo and transition at my office. My job (I'm an Office Manager/Administrator at a landscape architecture firm) isn't in jeopardy; in fact those of us left are picking up a surprisingly heavy work load but this has left no time for anything else.

So we have made the decision to let Colonial Barracks take a hiatus for 2017. We needed to relocate from our venue of 6 years and have not had the time or inclination to pursue this change. My job situation also means we will not be able to make Historicon this year. But there will be a Colonial Room and we've even added a smaller room for a featured game area. I will still be the POC on this.

However Sergeants 3 is still very much open for business and we have a few rules projects planned for the future. But anyone planning on seeing us at Historicon or Colonial Barracks will have to order online or by mail. Sometimes "real life" rears its head, rattling the cages that hold our hobbies and other R&R. This is one of those times and we wanted to let everyone know so they can adjust their plans.

That is sad news as Ed and I will be joining Jay and Russ at Historicon this year and had been looking forward to seeing you there.

No doubt about it, that is a bummer. Hope things work out as well as possible for your boss and the business. That hotel was awesome and will be missed. I sincerely hope you will succeed in finding another good location and resurrect Colonial Barracks in 2018, and that Sergeants 3 continues to thrive.
