Can someone point me to printable fabric sheets or some type of fabric-style paper that would work as sails? I custom-designed Ork sails for my Man o War fleets but when I print them on paper, they don't seem "right" which I believe is due to the paper. I'm thinking a fabric paper might look good. Thanks! |

What scale? Why not just use old linens and pillow cases? Cut, harden with simple white glue if you want, prime and paint or leave the original coloour. |

I have used iron on transfers that I printed off the computer. Worked really very well and has lasted over 10 years now. Greg |

You can feed cloth through an inkjet. It does take some prep. Not the exact steps, but basically you cut to fit your printer, press onto parchment paper (quilter's trick) and print. Should last for years. |

Ork sails for your Man o' War fleets! Why not just paint them black, with a dark grey highlight?

Thanks gents, I appreciate the feedback. I have no clue what scale these Man o War ships should would come out to be, maybe 1/900? At any rate, I would just paint them black but it wouldn't go well with my fleet color scheme of red, yellow and green. Additionally, I spent some time making up some decent looking sails with Ork glyphs. I ended up ordering those sheets that Waco Joe recommended, I know they are for an ink jet, what would happen if i put them in a laser jet? Thanks again! |

A number of printing shops offer full-colour printing on a material called Tyvek. It's fairly thin, being intended as a paper substitute for building plans that's water / paint / cement mixer resistant. I'm thinking of having a go at doing some cheap desert surface mats in the stuff, just as an experiment, but I think it's possible to get pieces as small as A3 (420 x 297mm) printed. |
