The first casts of my "Triumph of Death" line of undead "landsknechts" (although I am sure some of the lads lied about their age) showed up a couple of weeks ago and I've finally had time over the weekend to paint them up.

The castings are coming out really clean, and they are a real blast to paint.

As I get ready to launch my Kickstarter in late February, I'm getting "hero" shots of each pose. Here's one of my officers, based on mash up woodcuts by Holbien and Durer.

Cheers and thanks for looking!

Very nice. Clean and no frills warrior skeletons.

Looking good, I like the officer.

These look really great! Will you be expanding the line in the future?

I will be doing the kickstarter! I am interested in what colors you used to paint these. I probably would have ended up with a warmer pallet after looking at the original paintings but love the corpse look effect you achieved on their skin. Very nice! I also love the squared polearms!

Thanks gents-
Sstinnett. Lots of plans! I'm starting with the two units, halberds and javelins (as per Breugel's painting) plus command stuff, and we'll see how well they are received. I have concepts for pike and crossbow, as well as sweihanders. Most likely I'll take a pole at the end of my KS to see what you all would like to see next.

Sir Walter- I'm currently experimenting with painting, but have it down to three colors and a wash, as you're gonna be painitng legions. I'll be doing a painting demo on my blog soon.

These are great. I'm familiar with the Holbein and Durer woodcuts. Are you planning on doing any durer inspired cavalry, like the Death Riding sketch from 1505

Black Cavalier-
It's like you are in my mind. That exact model is currently being sculpted by Drew Williams for the CnC figure. I mean, how could I not?!

Side note- take a look at the crown Durer gave his death- and you can guess where Weta Workshop got the inspiration for the Witch king of Angmar.

Please do keep us in the loop about your KS campaign. Is it too early to enquire about model price points?

These are fantastic!

Canuckinator-

Don't worry, I'll carpet bomb y'all with pics and words about it.:) As to price points the goal is to sell units/ hordes of them along with unit bases (ala Kings of War)so I'm working hard to keep the price point down. The production molds for the first two units are in the works now, and once we cast up a few units, I'll have a much firmer idea.
