The new link works, and it looks very impressive.

Thanks for that. I'm about to do the same thing.

Is it for a dedicated set of rules?

I was about to commit to 40mm x 40mm, with 3 infantry/base. I'd love to hear why you chose the size that you did.

Thx for the nice Words. they are intended for no special ruleset. Just got hold of Kings of war historical and want to try the rules out with a few house rules added and that ruleset operate with 10-40 models pr. regiment. As I field both armies it will not be a problem.

Lucius. I actually got quite a few bases 40mmx40mm but after seing other wargamers using the 40mmx60mm I think it will be my prefered base size. still got quite a lot individually based but the standard infantry units I will base this way. Like ashigaru with long pikes…nightmare to arrange hope this kind of basing will help.

will post more Photos as Work Progress

very nice!

I'd actually add even more obnoxiously-green grass tufts to your bases, Japan is very heavily irrigated/cultivated, and even the mountains that aren't cultivated are usually covered in trees.

I'm having issues linking individual photos from botophucket, but I can give you the link to the entire folder for my quick trip to Kyoto while I was there: link

Funny coincidence, i'm rebasing my samurai army with 60x40mm bases as well this spring. I went with 5-6 troops for ranked up heavier infantry, and 4-5 for missile troops and more irregular infantry. It works quite ok.
