I've just received a shipment from Germany of an unknown vacuum formed castle. Could be Elastolin or ECO. My search on the Internets has come up empty – maybe you know who the mfg is, and which castle this is?

Here's the link to the blog post and pictures.

Definitely looks like an Elastolin castle, by the style and the way it is painted.

Elastolin.

Elastolin. I did a piece on converting one in a magazine article back in the early eighties.

Yep, I have one just like it. Elastolin.

Agree- Elastolin. I bought one similar (drawbridge missing) for about $20.00 USD about 2 years ago, so about average price here in Germany for used ones. There is another ( again, similar) with a working drawbridge across the street from me for 25 Euros I was thinking of getting because it's there. Have not seen too many in the USA and so far, (including yours), they have all been different.

While Elastolin (taken over by Preiser now) is bringing back the figures, I have not yet seen the castles in the catalogs. Despite the nick on the corner, I feel yours is in great shape! Decent price for it as well. Congrats on getting there in such great shape!

I used to have one just like it as a kid.

Thanks for the confirmations on it being Elastolin. I've found that the ECO "Camelot" I have looks a lot like an Elastolin, so I wasn't sure.

Any ideas on what Model # of Elastolin it is… or which castle this is modeling?

Is it this?

Elastolin Ritterburg Art. Nr. 9733 Tiefziehfolie Burg Von 1973.

Search for Hausser ELastolin Ritterburg or Burg. Lineol Burg also.

It's unlikely that the models are of real castles.

@thehawk – That link was great! I did find it. It's a Ritterburg, but looks like it's from 1983.

interested to see that, as just on Pike and Shot FB put pictures of my castle which some debate if its Elastolin – i think its ECO as rings a bell from box label which no longer have. Interesting too the price comments on the above and also the price comments on FB. re mine some people say sell in Europe for 30 to 50 EUR but saw one sold in UK for 25 GBP which is probably less than paid for it in 1980s.One was on in Eire for 300 EUR? I am not expecting it to be a treasure trove but interesting that the above were even less than UK price of 25 which i thought was low enough.
