"Launched in 2009" according to the description." Yes, for this reason it is called a semi-dreadnought. The Danton class secondary artillery is very respectable, with 6 x 240mm a side, alongside the main 4 x 305mm. Of course, when the ships were launched, they were already obsolete against a dreadnought. This is due to the fact that completion times were inordinately long for French warships, since the country's industrial capācities were mostly dedicated to the land forces at the time. |
