This weekend we had a very fun game using Combat Patrol(TM): World War II for a Clone Wars themed game. It was great fun. See the battle report here: bucksurdu.com/blog/?p=6134 For more information about the rules, including how-to videos and free downloads, see the rules' Web page here: link |

Sounds like fun. I need to get my Star Wars figures back out on the table at some point. Thanks for the write up and photos. Regards, Hitman |

Nice one! I had seen another guy do a Star Wars battle with WW2 rules but I forget the game. |

Nice looking layout. I am working on my Star Wars stuff as well. I can't remember the fellows name but he used Bolt Action rules for his Star Wars game. I plan on giving Fubar a shot. |

Thanks for the comments. Since armor doesn't seem have an effect in the Star Wars universe, any WWII set should work. Of course I am partial to Combat Patrol. :). Greg is more immersed in the mythos than I am, so the supplement will include the proper nomenclature for the weapons and equipment. |

I use Micro machine scale figs for my Clone Wars games using Fubar.

When I first saw the "troopers", I was thinking 25mm Storm troopers and a skirmish game using some of the 'many' CMG figs. Scanning down, 'Wow'! The games looked like they were fun but the table setup was Outstanding! *John Leahy I knew Micro Machines had done the battledroids, Super/heavy battledroid and the tank from Ep. I, in the battle on Naboo. I had no idea they did the large Republic walkers. Had I known then, there would be one more set of my already 'so many' minis collections. I would not have thought to use WW II rules for SW's. However, its my understanding, WLG's 'Antares'and 'Knoflict'47' are bascially SciFi variations of BA. So why not? |
