Good.

This idea didn't seem popular when it was first suggested. I still think it's a retrograde move.

Crap! You are right. I misinterpreted this to mean that Bill was actually going to listen to the majority of his readers and retract his original idea. Boo! Hiss!

Oh well, maybe we'll have a poll on the subject.

In about 5 years.

Agreed too much splitting.

It used to be we would have a poll on whether or not a set of rules would get its own board. The bar was not all that high. All it needed was 50 tmp members to vote that they would "support" that board. That meant, at least to me, that the voter would start threads on those rules or participate in such threads.

I guess that's been thrown out the window. Anything sitting in that old box on the floor of the closet now qualifies.

I hope this does not mean that legitimate boards, voted on by members, will be now confined to the Rules Directory. I have turned OFF the Directory because it's so huge now and unwieldy. I would hate to lose access to the legitimate board for The Sword and the Flame. Or for Flames of War. Both got the requisite number of votes, including mine. And I participate in them.

There are so many DBX variants – one will never have enough boards.
