Imagine that you're at the OFM's for a long day of gaming, and he volunteers to run down to McDonalds for burgers. What do you want?

Id ask him to go to the Burger King across the street and get me two Whoppers, some fries and a large coke.

raylev314 Jan 2017 1:46 p.m. PST

He'd have to stop at Subway, too, to get a 6 inch black forest ham sandwich….(high cholesterol and hypertension).

rustymusket14 Jan 2017 4:25 p.m. PST

quarterpounder, fries, large Dr. Pepper. (as long as it is make believe – in real life I get the fish filet calling it a healthy alternative and water.)

The Beast Rampant15 Jan 2017 12:03 a.m. PST

Was that the Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich, the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich, or the McChicken?

The right tasty Crispy Buttermilk variety, if you please! And a large Dr. Pepper.

Mako1115 Jan 2017 3:31 a.m. PST

In-N-Out Burger would be my first choice, for a double hamburger (no cheese), with grilled onions only, fries, and a coke (Pepsi is better, but they don't have that).

Carl's Jr. Big Burger for me, since I don't want to pay for all the extras I don't like, if that's a choice.

If not, BK next, for a whopper, as above.

At McD's, a 1/4 pounder, plain and fresh cooked (hate their barely warm, precooked burgers), large fries, and a coke (again, Pepsi is better, but unavailable, sadly).

Quarter pounder with cheese, plain

Dr. Pepper

If the choice is limited to McD's then several boxes of 20 piece nuggets and then stop somewhere for sweet and sour sacue, chinese mustard and or szechuan sauce.

or and a side of fries.

If any burger is fair game it is Whataburger double meats with cheese or go home.

Personal logo Dye4minis Supporting Member of TMP15 Jan 2017 1:09 p.m. PST

I'll take a chicken box. (Yes, here in Germany,Mickey D's offer a box of 6 BBQ chicken wings, 6 hot wings and 12 McNuggets (with 4 sauces) for about $9.00 USD. BTW, they charge for extra (more than one) ketchup all over Europe! (50 cents a pack, too!) OFM, Have a burger on me as well for your offer!

…..and a Large Coke WITH ICE!!!! (Europe you gotta ask for ice!)

….can't wait to get home in a few weeks…..

Hungry Tom

Mako1115 Jan 2017 1:21 p.m. PST

I miss Whataburger………..

{-(

Wow, 50 cents a pack for ketchup?

Condiment criminals!

What's the deal with Europeans not wanting ice? Seems rather backward to me, but heard the same from my ex-GF decades ago, after she went for a visit there.

Prince Rupert of the Rhine15 Jan 2017 2:10 p.m. PST

Mako its because we are tight I pay for a cup of coke not half a cup of coke. I don't want no snivelling teenager filling half my coke with ice I rather have a full cup of coke it already comes out of the machine cold…..

We usually barbecue our own burgers between the day game (usually miniatures) and the evening game (usually role-playing or board).

If we were going to MacDonald's, I would have a cheeseburger and medium fries and iced tea mixed with lemonade.

nickinsomerset16 Jan 2017 12:19 a.m. PST

Mixed kebab or a curry!

Tally Ho!

Who asked this joker16 Jan 2017 8:56 a.m. PST

Another fillet o' fish please! I assume the tap water in OFM's area is drinkable.

capncarp16 Jan 2017 9:29 a.m. PST

Since _which_ McDonald's was not mentioned, I'd like to change my order to a McAloo Tikka, a Maharaja Mac (the corn-and-cheese patty option, please), a bag of Pirri-Pirri and a Coke Zero.

capncarp16 Jan 2017 9:39 a.m. PST

Who asked this joker--"I assume the tap water in OFM's area is drinkable."
All Pennsylvania water is drinkable. Depending on which of our pristine watersheds you get it from, you may have to thin it down with alcohol or gasoline, but you can drink it. I was raised on Schuylkill (pronounced "Skookle" not "School-kill" by us indigenous folk) Punch, which carried the effluent from the City of Reading past my hometown, down to the friendly City of Brotherly Love to merge the streams with the Mighty Delaware. Yep, us what survived it were made stronger by its mysterious non-aqueous components. But I understand the mutation rate has gotten lower, nowadays. Pity. Culling the herd and all that.

Well, if he'll just take a swing slightly out of his way down to Crossplains, Tennessee, I'll take a burger and a chocolate milkshake from Thomas Drugs, which the staff will assure you are The Best You Will Ever Eat. And they're right. They even beat out my other "out of his way" choice, which would be In-N-Out.

Gunfreak Supporting Member of TMP17 Jan 2017 4:19 a.m. PST

Capncarp-
I'm from Lebanon County (pronounced Lebnin by the locals) Our water is just good (pronounced chust goot by the locals). My work takes me into Lancaster County (pronounced Lang ester by the locals) and their water tastes like melted down canons from the Cornwall Iron Furnace.

When this eventually gets made into a poll, please include a selection for "this really didn't need to be a poll."

Oberlindes Sol LIC Supporting Member of TMP18 Jan 2017 7:33 p.m. PST

I was a college student in the Philadelphia suburbs a long time ago, and although I can remember the taste and pronunciation of Yuengling (yoong-ling), Genessee, Iron City, and Rolling Rock, I have no memory of the tap water at all.

capncarp18 Jan 2017 11:50 p.m. PST

With 4 brews to vary your fluid intake, you may not have _had_ to drink any of the local water. BTW us folk here in the mid-state pronounce it "Ying-Ling"
