Guys, I blew it. Either WI or MW published a scenario some years back in which the Bakers--Sam, Valentine and Florence--held Khartoum instead of Gordon and, the city having fallen, were attempting to make their way to a getaway boat on the Nile. I almost certainly have the scenario on my shelves, but I can't find it again. Can anyone give me an issue number? Failing that, a title and author so I don't leaf past? Thanks. |

Argh! I know exactly the article you are referring to, but I got rid of most of my old WI's! I will leaf through the ones I still have and let you know if I find it. |

Sorry, no dice, I just flipped through them. Good luck finding it. IIRC they were trying to fight their way to the river and escape via boat with random mahdists popping up. |

Yep, that's the one, thanks. A first-rate premise for a solo game. I haven't gotten rid of any of mine, so it MUST be there somewhere, which means I've gone through the pile and looked right past it at least once. |

I looked it up using WI Vault. This is the scenario you're looking for. There's not much to it, just one and a half pages and no map. But it's good inspiration for a small game. PM me if you can't find your copy. |
