really? I'm mean come on` I am down in panama city beach 'snow~birding' for 8 weeks, forgot some needed paints and was looking to score some Fireforge templers for Lion Rampant. so, I look on line and see a place called "book and Game Emporium" in Fort Walton Beach, we were in Destin shopping so I thought I would look this place up seeing how they say on their web sight they have A. Boardgames (I was going to pick up another copy of C&C anciants as a travel set) and B. they carry miniatures "for your table top needs". I call them on the phone, "Book and Game Emporium" her voice "Hi, I'm down for a couple of months and I left some painting supplies at home and am looking for some figures as well" white noise~~~~~~~~~~~ 10-15 seconds "uhhhh do you stock Fireforge models" "NOPE!" her voice more white noise ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "well, do you have any Gripping Beast mini's in stock" "I'm not sure" her voice white noise ~~~~~~~~~~ 15 seconds "Do you carry any historical miniatures at all?" white noise ~~~~~~~~~10 seconds "I'm not sure" her voice 20 seconds more white noise ~~~~~~~~~ I just hung up If your going to run a business shouldn't you at least make a goddam effort to actually do business? |

You do know that Historical mini's are a niche product for many game stores? They might special order them, but not stock them. If you have a store that stocks historicals, you're a lucky man. |

Yeah, I mentioned them. TMP link I've been there lots, though only a couple of times in the last few years. The only two (guys) that were always there were both friendly and helpful. You do know that Historical mini's are a niche product for many game stores? Yeah, that. Aside from Battlefront, I have to drive better than 200 miles, to north of Atlanta, to find any stocked. |

Even if you don't carry something polite and informed about what you do carry is just good business. |

yeah I get the niche thing as well, but, at least you could assure someone may answer the phone to a prospective customer with even a modicum of decorum and proper positive business attitude. saved us a 50 mile drive though. sad really. needed some cavalry stands for mtd sargeants. and would loved to have gotten a travel set of C&C ancients to go with the travel set of C&C napoleonics. |
