Thanks. Yup, he really liked it. Something to keep from Dad is always nice.

Very nice indeed!!!

I use such cases for displaying figures and historical relics I've collected over the years, but have not done a diorama, so good food for thought!

I'm not sure whom I call luckier, the lad who received, or the father appreciated.

Congrats all around.

Not that he shouldn't be delighted with that set up. I would!

And he thought he didn't need anything… ;->=

An inspiring article from a father to son,my daughter is also autistic and the thought and effort you put into this gift just shows how lucky your son is to have you.Thankyou for also sharing this with the group.

Thank you for the kind words gents. I have found that the gift of time is often the most appreciated of all. Life is too short to worry…play games instead!

A fabulous gift. Bless you, sir.

I have a company's worth of those GZG NI infantry in the paint queue. Which colors did you use on these?

You're a good man…

These were the easiest miniatures I have painted in awhile.

Bare metal miniature. No primer, no nothing.
GW Athonian Camoshade Wash
Reaper Military Grey on the weapons.
Vallejo Dark Grey wash on the weapons
Vallejo Glorious Gold on the Visor with a highlight of Vallejo Shining Gold.

Done.

You will probably be unable to highlight the armor due to the fact that is it is only painted with a "wash". It gives a quasi-metallic effect, without resorting to metallic paints. I don't use the technique on everything that is metallic though. It was a quick way of getting them done and they are passable Spartans as a result.
