So this is a work in progress, so far there is no campaign, only custom battles. But they have added quite a few Countries.

The most fleshed out factions are England and France.

With about a dozen nobles each, with their heraldry.
Meaning you can make part of your army from the retuine of William Marshal or the enitre army.

The forces are divided into 3 tiers.
First tier "early"
2nd is High
And 3rd is Late.

Now these does not correspond to the Early, high or late medieval period. Since the game start in 1200, each tier corresponds to about 100 years,
Early is 1200-1300, high is 1300-1400 and late is 1400-1500.

Early period is definitely the period with the most work done.

Besides England and France, other factions are quite fleshed out. To my surprise, Norway was very well done, with quite a few units(in fact far more than Sweden, who had almost no High period units,)

Most of the major players of the Medieval period is there, From west and south, to north and east, ala the way down to Africa and middle east.

Hopefully, they will be able to add the campaign map.

But even with just custom battles it's quite fun.

These new mods look amazing!

Just started with MTW2 last summer so I want to get good at that first. The Total War games offer advantages over miniature gaming. The AI is always available to play. There is only one rule set. I can play campaign games. (miniature gamers avoid even short-term commitments) And, which should put shame on all miniature rule authors, the TW games are a better simulation.

Medieval total war 2 is the best game. They get progressively worse. Empire and Napoleon is just not good. Shogun 2 is a high point in the newer games. But you MUST have mods installed. The standard game is way to arcadey.
Rome two can be
played with heavy modifications. But stuff like sieges are still broken. And Attila is even worse then empire.

Only reason i have Attila is for this mod. So if you are buying any more Total War games. Buy Shogun 2. Mabye Rome 2 if you are willing to spend time on finding a mod that suits you.

Attila only for this mod. As regular Attila is actually broken especially the charlamange campaign.
