For too long manufactures have sold 28mm Spanish buildings as being suitable for Italy and Southern French buildings, this is not the case!
Italian village buildings are very distinct in their profiles, likewise those of Sothern France.

If you can get hold of them, the Italeri 1/72 scale buildings are ideal as is or with some work. Unfortunately, only the church seems available and you have to really route around for the others in small shops and on e-Bay.

Yea, some require you to take out a home, or castle loan from a bank to buy them, just like the 1:1 scale ones.
