Great job on the DPRG and the Americans in your other post.
I have DPRG and Nova Respublika (Neo-Soviets).
We haven't played TW in some time, but this is making me want to play again.
Thanks for posting;

Thanks. I have to paint my up NAC to replace my Red Faction troops I think.

I wish there was a third edition. Made a lot of house rule changes myself to fix things I didn't like.

Really lovely work, like TW for hard'ish, near to mid-future sci-fi combat, though the background is a little vanilla for my tastes. But you can't go wrong with neo-Communists… in space IMHO. Some neo-Communist's have been on project to-do list for ages.

The background is a little too, "America is the bestest greatest" for me. I would imagine that in 300 years a lot of political change will occur, but the TW universe really "pro Western":

USA = good and awesome with their own awesome new planet
Britain = good and awesome with their own awesome new plant
China = bad and envious with a crappier new planet
Russia = poor & technologically backward

May as well play a scenario from the Cold War.

Stargrunt 2, while a little more outlandish with its future is more exciting to me.

Sorta like Stargrunt had the NAC still under the Empire and one of the best powers. I like the NAC. I like the ESU. There are lots of powers in SG2. Just the authors vision and a basis to run scenarios. I just believe it's the view of the author. The Cold War may well be what happens in the future. Don't like it, change it.

Thanks.

Most of my near future games are set in the SPI wargame world of Invasion America, with the Euro-Socialist Pact, Pan Asiatic League and the South American Confederation and the North American Coalition battling it out.
