We are in the process of shutting down the DBx board, which had been made redundant by the DBA, DBM, DBMM, DBR and Hordes of the Things boards. (And maybe the Horse, Foot and Gun board – is it considered DBx?) So if your favorite topic is missing here, seek it out on the Rules Forum, or in some cases, in other boards here on the Main Forum (i.e. the gallery and battle report boards). Some of the DBx board topics are being exported to the Rules Forum; others are being cloned to be on both forums. |

But fragmentation is so much better. |

There were so few DBMM and DBM threads, is there a need for separate boards? I like having HOTT and DBA together. Breaking these apart serves no purpose but making extra work for readers who play both, as many do. |

Why have one when you can have five? |

Alas, twas nice having them clumped. You can always crosspost. Why have one when you can have five? Six, but who's counting… |

The thing is, I generally visit TMP each day, so I just scan down the list of new topics that have popped up since my last visit. When it comes to specific boards (and votes thereon) I always vote 'no opinion', since if I have a specific question, I can usually put it directly into Google, which takes me to the correct place in TMP without me having to flail around too much. Still, 'Farewell DBx board!' ;) |

This is a mistake -- because there are so many great DBX variants people develop for many different periods. Now it will be harder to post and find them on TMP. |

2017! You've started already! This time it's my beloved DBx board! Farewell DBx board. |

Yes Dear Editor, cross-posting is still an option; but this game series is the one that I like to cross-read. I primarily play DBA, and some HotT, but enjoy reading about the others when I go to scan the DBx Board to see what's up for ongoing discussions that have fallen off the front page. Now, I'm not so likely to go perusing the others to see what the ongoing discussions might be. |

I would much prefer getting rid of seperate DBMM and DBM boards. A general DBX board is by far the most useful of all these boards. Please keep the general board. Thomas J. Thomas Fame and Glory Games |

I too found the DBX board helpful as my interests are not only ancients, but fantasy (HOTT/D3H3) and gunpowder era (DBA-HX 3.0). Please keep the general board. Regards, Robert |

Another vote in favour of retaining – and a poll suggestion raised |

I too would prefer a general DBX board. |

Why? Why? If it ain't broke, don't break it. |

Some of the DBx board topics are being exported to the Rules Forum; others are being cloned to be on both forums. Does this mean existing topics currently in the DBx board are being "moved" to other boards? There are a lot of nice old conversations indexed on Google that it would be nice to retain on TMP somewhere. - Ix |

Does this mean existing topics currently in the DBx board are being "moved" to other boards? Yes – to other boards and in many cases, another forum |
