OK guys. I know at least half a dozen of you have done it already: What does Darth Vader look like under Rogue Stars? I keep winding up in the low 90 points, which breaks the system, but I doubt he cares. He's not the sort to have squaddies. He has minions.

After having seen Lord Vader curbstomp a couple squads at the tail end of Rogue One, I'm pretty sure that any system that DOESN'T make him a one-man wrecking crew is inadequate for the task.

Lion, this was the best part of the movie in my opinion. Made Darth Vader an awesome bad guy, rather than a child killer.

Vader shows the Storm Troopers how its done in Rogue One, then lets them try in episode 4 when they board Leia's ship.

I'm with you, Major. One thing Rogue One showed, though is that while they clearly shortened the Storm Trooper marksmanship course after Obi-wan's day, they didn't use the extra time for training on hand to hand fighting.

Really like these rules.

Has a lot of talk and author answering questions.

Fun rules, and on sale on Kindle.

Darth Vader is a Sith Lord. Ordinary humans, even in large numbers, don't stand a chance against him and nor do low powered force users.

In D&D terms he is a level 50 cleric (or similar combined warrior/magic user class). In the novels he blows up asteroids with his mind, and in 'Vader Down'he destroys an entire Republic mechanised battalion (including all the tanks and aircraft) single handed. His only really limitation is that as he is forced to wear armour (his suit), he can't use Sith Lightening or Force Speed.

Trying to incorporate such beings (essentially earth bound gods) into a skirmish game where everyone else is a level 1 fighter can be a little tricky:)

Yeah there are two approaches:

(1) '77 Vader, a head honcho bad guy but just a guy really – this is a playable Character in Rogue Stars: Cyborg Body, Bionic Arms, Psionic Master and a few telekinetic powers, Weapons Master, Force Sword, Combat Dress, maybe Tough 1

(2) The Man The Myth The Legend, unplayable in Rogue Stars; maybe he can exist as some kind of scenario mechanic
