I got a large lot of 15mm ancients, but not sure who made them. There in a shipping box marked musket miniatures llc out of Colorado, but these do not appear to be there's. The box is marked Greeks, but I don't think they are as far as I can tell. I need to find Roman soldiers with a curved rectangular shield, a feathered helmet, and short sword. There is Cavalry, chariots, ballistas, and other figures as well. |

From your description it would be rather difficult to label a time period for the Roman figures (Polybian, Marian, Augustan, Middle or Late Imperial). A photo would certainly help, but if the feathers (2 or 3 and vertically standing) on the helmet that may might indicate a Polybian Roman of the Punic Wars. At my blog there are photos of completed Roman armies. Click on the "Index" on the right hand side and look for the Consular army, Severan and Late Imperial Rome. dbagora.blogspot.nl |

This might help if I was not so blind. I can't even tell which side is which from the battlefield pics. I've not had time to even sort these much less scan them and upload pictures. |

If they are Minifigs they will have a rectangular base with (depending on flash) a figure code consisting of a capital Z-Numbert for infantry and ZC-number for cavalry. Horses wil have an H-number. Essex will have an irregular base with smoot curves ans be labeled with a copyright symbol and Essex. Heritage Classic would be have a figure code in the 6xxx range (6107 for Hastati). If the figures are lead rather than pester, they are probably one of the older lines. Essex is one of the few still casting lead alloy. Also if there is a significant variety of poses for similarly armed and armored figures they won't be Minifig or one of the older school lines. With even a couple of pictures it would be much easier to ID them. Museum Miniatures should also have figure codes on the bases. Fof example – HPxx for Hastati, RTxx for Triari. Unfortunately a Microsoft update ate my previous user profile or I could post links to the various manufacturers as I had most of them bookmarked. |

Two defunct possibilities are Corvus Belli (Early Imperial) and Testudo (Marian) Khurasan Miniatures has Early Imperial Romans. Forged in Battle Miniatures has Romans from at least a couple different eras. Peter Pig has Early Imperial. |
