I've been using an ordinary deck of cards with Brother Against Brother and All The Kings Men (Rules); I wanted something more topical and specific.

Found this deck on Amazon, ordered it and received today:

Standard card deck printed on heavy gauge coated paper. Full color printing is sharp and easy to read. The back of each card has either a color or black and white image with a description below and a color flag image on top.

The card numbers / suites are muted (in the background) but easily read.

The deck comes in a colorful sturdy cardboard box.

Recommended if your games require a card deck.

Both the Pharo deck and the Highlanders deck are other good choices. Just do a check on Amazon for "civil war playing cards".

There are reproduction card decks of the types actually in use during the Civil War, and some feature prominent Generals/Personalities in lieu of the traditional images.

Here are some easy links to see for yourselves!

When it comes to period "feel," such decks would be even better!

A lot of ACW re-enactment sutlers carry reproduction playing cards too.
