"Spare perry Austrian shako heads?" Topic

I'm in the middle of converting some figs and have run out of Austrian shako heads. It's the Perry heads I need (not Victrix).

If anyone has any spare I'd be very grateful and can pay for postage.

Alternatively, I can buy them from you, or swap for other plastic bits/flags etc.

This is purely out of curiosity….I have not an Austrian head anywhere!

You would not be doing North Netherlands would you (ie Dutch)? I only ask as I love to hear of conversions

I'm also looking for Austrian perry shakoheads for dutch conversions. Living in the Netherlands, willing to swap/trade or buy. Anyone has about 20/30 shakos? Have french perry plastic dragoons and spare flags pre waterloo (GMB) and a bunch of french 1812 flags which I don't remember the maker at this moment.

Someone on TMP once gave me a slew of French fusilier heads, and I'm still using them for conversions. Time to pay back.

Sorry if I stepped in it. I know your doing a great job on your waterloo project and I might have some spare figures/parts you could use. Probably a bit clumsy stepping in, should started my own topic.

Of course, there is that doubt that they wore the rear peak anyway at "Waterloo", rather than their old French headgear. That Austrian-look shako might just have been a few months later, I have seen it suggested.

(Must stress I know nothing of any value here)……doubts have been expressed about the DB Artillery shako with the brass feature all around the base, the helmet for the Carabiniers in June 1815, the Belgic Shako on "Belgian" Chasseurs, let alone the iconic infantry shako for the ….Dutch? Nomenclature does get confusing………!
