I have a long term interest in the 1915 campaign in Mesopotamia. I am thinking of making this my 2017 project but I'm struggling at finding figures. I'd likely use great war spearhead for rules but I haven't found a complete line of Turks, Middle East British, and Indians.

Anyone know someone making a good line for this period?

Thanks much,
Tom

If 10mm suits, then this should fit the bill, excellent figures, easy to paint and fit the 30mm square bases for Spearhead nicely.

In 6mm,, Irregular miniatures have a range. Personally, not so keen on their figures, but they do paint up OK and Spearhead works well with 6mm.

All my stuff for Mespot is 6mm Irregular (apart from the gunboats, which I scratch built).

Like a lot of their stuff, the raw lead looks a bit rough, but they paint up nicely.

They do triple duty in Palestine and East Africa.

Just to fly in that special ammo for the Koenigsberg guns, I've also got a Revell Zeppelin.

Steamingdave, the pendraken are perfect! Do the packs include command figures?

They don't. I put a few on smaller stands for battalion headquarters. For higher HQ I used a larger stand with an open staff car, a motorcycle, field telephone and a pigeon handler.

Not all the Pendraken ME packs include command but the Turks do and, I think the Aussies do too. Check with Leon and Dave on the forum for details of the intricacies of the range. I'm fairly certain that there has been significant discussion on the subject in the past so worth a visit to the Pendraken forum.

Also seem to remember that there was a call for some new figures for the range but not sure what stage they are at, planning, sculpting or actually in production ?

Baccus will be releasing their Mesopotamia line in the near future from what I gather.

InN 15mm Eureka Miniatures Australia have a full range of Turks and ANZAC cavalry and an expanding range of British and Indians. Regards Alan

Plus there are Minifigs in 15mm (still nice figures) and I believe that Peter Pig is now producing Turks too.

Pendraken does a number of WW1 in the desert figures in 10mm. Might want to check them out.

I use 28mm Tiger Miniatures Balkan War Turks for my Turks cause I dig the fez!

My Brits are Renegade and Indians are Brigade Games.

Peter Pig does produce Ottoman troops now, yes.
