I have been building an army for this war over the last year. For the Italians I have been using World War I Italians with caps from Brigade Miniatures, and Bersaglieri and sailors from Old Glory's Boxer Rebellion range. For the Turks I have been using Egyptian infantry (mixed with dismounted Egyptian cammel corp soldiers for variety) and artillery from Old Glory's Sudan range. I have also used Arabs from Brigade Games and Askari Miniatures North African Range as Libyans in Italian service. Also I have purchased a couple of 1/48th scale early airplanes for the Italians. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what is coming out.

A bizarre little war

I've been getting a few bits and pieces for it in 6mm after reading A Box of Sand

A lot of firsts in this war – combat reconnaissance by aircraft, anti-aircraft fire and ..er.. casualty from anti-aircraft fire among others

Any more info on this? I would like to do 28mm Italo-Turkish War, and was considering modifying WW1 Italian infantry from Brigade Games -- but don't think my skills are that good.
