Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Filler. It can be reconstituted if it starts drying out. It can also be thinned, which can sometimes be used to interesting effect. I do some wood work on my blog Wooden Warriors, and that is the one I have used before for filling between wooden parts and to make simple shapes. Dale |

I coat my 3D printed figures with Earl's wood hardener before painting. Earl might be the local version of Elmer. |

Best? wood filler is wood filler. I use whatever I can get in the DIY shop. |

Depends on the use. I like MinWax Wood Putty for making the scenery base for DBA camps. I layer the basic shapes with chunks of balsa/bass wood, and then schmear the wood putty over to build the actual contours and give it some ground texture at the same time. |
