Hi, I'm looking to start a new roleplaying campaign set in Ancient Egypt and would like to get some suitable figures to use (in 28 mm). I'm looking for more character types than typical rank and file ancients wargaming stuff. Ideally, both genders and if possible with some degree of animation. I've gone through Reaper's stuff (some workable options there) and some interesting possibilities with Wargods of Aegyptus, although the demi-human nature makes them less idea. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Mirliton for monsters, but also look in places like souvenir type shops for things like these

Dark Fable Miniatures I think would be perfect. I used them for my Egyptian adventures. link Phil

BTD has your human New Kingdom Egyptian needs met for the rank and file for guards, men at arms, hirelings, etc: link They've had some bad press but they have always done well for me. |

I have a real mix of Ral Partha, Crocodile Games, Dark Fable, Black Tree Design, Foundry & Reaper. If I remember BTD & Foundry were the best for civvies, while Dark Fable & the Croc were best for characters. Dark Fable are due to start a new indiegogo set in the reign of Cleopatra VII TMP link |

Wargames foundry have a few things in their Egyptian adventures range clearly borrowed from the mummy films some of the sets might be useful link

Dark Fable, all the way. Sprinkle in some Crocodile and a few Foundry, and you're all Set. Get it? ;) |

Apologies for my late response (illness struck) but thanks all round for the suggestions. I saw Dark Fable at Recon in Pudsey a couple of years ago but could not remember the name, so really happy to be reacquainted with them. And yes, cheers for the Set gag! |
