Folks, I'm looking at collecting British platoons for either 1943-45 Italy or 1943-45 Burma, using Crusader Miniatures or Perry metals. Does anyone do PIAT teams in the MK II helmet that would match either range? Thanks! Ed |

Victory Force miniatures – prone PIAT gunner, with or without helmet netting, assistant available if you want to give him some company: link |

Perry and VFM are a poor match, IMO, being on opposite ends of the "28mm" spectrum. Crusher and Battle Honors both do PIAT teams. |

Does anyone stock VFM in the UK? |

@Jeff – I thought BH British were in the NW Europe MKIII helmet or am I wrong? No pics on the website… Also can you post a link to Crusher miniatures? How big are the VFM figs? I know they wound go with Perry figs, but thought a prone VFM fig might possibly get away mixing with Crusader? Thanks! Ed |

VFM are a decent match for Crusader – that's what I had in mind when I suggested them. Renegade also does a pack of PIAT gunners, but they're very Hollywood – shooting from the hip using the monopod as a foregrip! |

"Crusher" -- stupid autocorrect. Crusader is what I meant: link Now that I look at these, maybe that is the Mk III. I have one more suggestion: you can buy a sprue of British infantry from Warlord: link and a sprue of weapons: link If you go this route, in fact, I'll mail you a PIAT -- I have an extra. Judging from this page link the BH figures are wearing the mk II. Also: Renegade -- link Blacktree: link |

How about West Wind? Some photos of some of their Piat teams I've recently painted up can be seen here: link AJ |

Ed, I used a kneeling figure from the Perry 8th Army plastics box. Built him some long trousers with miliput and put a PIAT from the Warlord weapons sprue on his shoulder. He fits in nicely with my Italian campaign Perry metals… EC |
