This character I did enjoy painting. Worked out really well, though I say so myself! Gringos40 new Polish Guard Lancer drummer, of course, with a few Perrys' in their parade rig.

Some more pictures at different angles here, but the above gives the general idea

OK folks, so where is it? I'll take the country, but the city would really impress. If you get that far, which is the best coffee house and an arm and a leg restaurant in town? (actually most are…….)

It looks a lot like the Tulleries:

Give or take a few hundred miles…..right architectural style though

Not the Tuilleries…used that for my Gendarmes Drummer (snag is that there is one picture, if you look through the arch, you can see that awful glass pyramid)

I have redone that chap to improve the reins and now based him properly. Must repost.

Good job. Got this figure to do myself. Plus the Junot figure.

Florence. The Medici. Pitti Palace…….no business the Polish lancers parading there………..but it does at least look right, as Wrgmr1 suggested above.

Slightly yellow cast to the photos and a little dark and was tempted to process further, but left as seen. He is in a better rendering of Polish Crimson in reality.

To be honest, I keep gazing at this one figure and thinking "Oh, Yes……..you are good" (I will fix that long horizontal grey mark above his right rein…naked eye you do not see it!)

Bonjour Deadhead,

Inspired stuff?

Inspiring stuff?

Well actually both!

You'll need to take-up wargaming to encourage les autres to field better-painted units and wargaming is so much fun!

Some are as good as yours but not mine.

Will try and visit Firenze in 2017.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Paul
