The fourth battle in moving forwards with replaying the historical scenarios from the Peter Sides booklet, by attempting to play 11 battles by the end of November. I played this a few weeks ago but have only just posted it. November has past and I only got to four. However, I did play 3 face to face games in the same period, when I normally play none!

The AAR for the Battle of Raphia is at this blog post:

This marks the end of the Successor Wars historical battles to replay. Onwards to some First Punic War battles!

Nice report on a classic battle, Shaun.

Cheers,
Aaron

Agreed, nice AAR! The break point system is very much like Armati. We've had many games that are very close to either side winning. Sometimes only the melee resolve direction dictates who wins or loses. Fun games!

The breakpoint system may be a bit familiar to Armati as I used Armati as a basis for it. Armati is one of my favourite rules and I too have had many an Armati game winner/loser resolved by the melee direction

Looking good mate.

Selucids seem to be your favorite army at the moment?

Cheers Andy

Seleucids are the army of the moment. But likely to change to early Carthaginians as I move on to replaying some first Punic war battles!
