Spanning over 1,000sqm on the second floor of the Gateway Ekamai shopping mall, Stanley MiniVenture will open Wednesday. The open space of buildings and models is billed as the first 1:87-scale miniature town in Thailand, and the largest in Asia.

Interesting – a piece of miniature Germany in Thailand! I was expecting something more oriental – though I see they say one part of the exhibit will do this.

But probably the whole project is nothing compared to the amazing Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg …

Hard to tell from the photos as to how well it has been modelled as I noted one digger looking weathered while the one behind was pristine and lamp posts angled all over the show. Something to do during the day when you are tired of Temples etc I suppose.

Would be nice to know if it was made by locals or by expats living there.
