ah yes, the old "moving palm tree" ploy! :-)

That looks really great!

colin knight08 Dec 2016 6:01 a.m. PST

Simon…That looks really great. A bit like a movie shot IMHO. Basing, colours and flow and really eye catching. The basing colour goes well with the green mat also.
Possibly I love so much as looks like a biblical army also. Could be that clever palm tree to the bases.

"'til Burnham wood remove to Dunsinane"; mobile camouflage! ;-)

tHi Colin, he reason the colours match is that I asked Deep-Cut to design a mat to match my bases. Clever, neh? They will go even better once they are flocked. :-)

I hate rebasing, however yours look brilliant!

Mithridates08 Dec 2016 3:42 p.m. PST

I have been slowly re-basing around larger bases but your effort is amazing. Well done Simon.

Hi Garry,

I suspect I am the only nutter basing armies on bases 19cm wide with wobbly edges and no corners!

More to follow in the coming days…

Best, Simon

Caliban09 Dec 2016 8:38 a.m. PST

Epic indeed. Not a bad 'little' army at all…

AuvergneWargamer17 Feb 2017 3:44 a.m. PST

How very splendid!

Not tried TtS but I'll need to give it a go.

Cheers,

Paul

Not a bad start!? Can't have too many Numidians…

There are a heck of a lot more now. :-) I must take a photo…

Marc at work17 Feb 2017 7:19 a.m. PST

You may be a nutter, but I hope not the only one. I love the look of the wobbly edges for "horde" troops – I am looking long and hard at these for my LotR orcs/uruk hai forces, and even dunlendings. I like the "non-formed roops" look it gives

Was it Orson Wells or Roddy McDowall who was a landscaper?

colin knight21 Feb 2017 12:57 a.m. PST

I am running low on usual sand. How ate those bases done ?

Hi Colin, I use my patented "BgRedBatGunk"- it's a pre-coloured basing compound. It's good stuff… I've always meant to sell it in the shop but so far haven't got around to it. Can mail you a baggie…

colin knight22 Feb 2017 3:01 p.m. PST

Simon a wee vague would be nice. You should sell it.

archiduque23 Feb 2017 5:55 a.m. PST

Excellent stuff!!

colin knight23 Feb 2017 7:18 a.m. PST

Vague should read…… bag. Too much night shift!!!!
