My little boy (age 4) tells me he wants a battleship. In our modern world, is there such a thing as a bathtub-friendly warship toy? He already has a pirate ship but is looking for something a bit more modern (i.e. anything that relies on an engine rather than sails: WWII fine, doesn't have to be a Zumwalt). Thanks for any suggestions! |

A quick search on Amazon for "toy battleship" showed all kinds of possibilities. |

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, most of what I found at Amazon with that search term was a mix of the Hasbro Battleship game, or detailed scale models of battleships -not quite what I was looking for. I found one possible item at Toys R Us, will check that out on the weekend. |

A better possibility might be the battleship made by Strombecker a long time ago--very rugged, made for the bathtub as well as elsewhere. The prices on eBay run from $10 USD to 5 times that much (ridiculous!) Here is the lowest-priced one I found: auction |
