1st Corps releases a unit in 28mm for the US Civil War that is rarely seen.

Obviously intended to be some militia unit since the uniforms are nothing like what US Regulars wore nor any volunteer unit I'm familiar with. A shame 1st Corps doesn't tell us who they are supposed to be. |

Rarely seen because never worn. Who wants to paint a unit that was never involved in a battle? I'm not sure a unit dressed like this even fought at 1st Bull Run. |

Used to have a unit uniformed this way in 15mm from Minifigs. According to a drawing of the time the 6th Mass. regiment wore this in their fight against Baltimore Rioters. |

Okay, the uniform is pretty similar to what the 6th had. Of course, other than the riot, the 6th saw no action in the war. |

The canteens are ridiculously large! Badly sculpted overall. |
