I was wondering if any company sells cardboard punch outs of planets and asteroid fields like the old GW Battlefleet Gothic game had in it? I would love some for gaming and figured some one here might know. Thanks for the help.

You might check around some of the toy-game sections in Wallyworld and others. Also kid-oriented science stuff in hobby/craft stores. Pretty sure I've seen some things like that.

I bought some fabric pieces, one with a starfield, one with planets, at Joannes or one of those fabric places. Of course, they're not "movable".

Here's something from a casual search :

A bit of googling should turn up more.

Go online look for planet, star, asteroid pictures and print them out on heavy paper and there you go.

Also, 'tis the season for *many* cheap plastic and paper mache spheres to be sold in craft and discount stores. I just used a small paper mache sphere to represent Saturn's moon Titan for my kid's model solar system project (whatever my other deficiencies as a parent, my kids always have good craft stuff for school!).

I have seen similar at staples

or even hhtp://drivethrurpg.com

The old diskwars space games had some really nice planets, asteroids and other nice 'spacey' stuff.

There were some in the old Star Wars boxed spacefighters game kit.

Can't recall the title – Star Warriors perhaps?

I like little lava rocks for 3D ones – sold at most Home Improvement stores, outside, in their garden centers. They come in gray and rust colored.

Right-0, but sadly out of print, though available used. In print, but perhaps not cost effective, is StarFleetGames has a pack with hex maps, large ship counters, and some 'terrain'.

Props to them, there are also some free-to-download items, though mostly hex based.

I'm tempted by the lava rocks, but lacking sourcing information, I fear the wrath of Pele… ;->=

Go on ebay and look for Star Wars Armada asteroid tokens/templates. Sellers sometimes sell just these parts on there.

Litko also makes them in acrylic.

I'll bet there are images of the Star Warriors counters on-line, and available for free.

Try Google Images.

I bought some from Fantasy Flight games last year for an X-Wing gamer. It's a pack of asteroids, planets, etc on thick cardboard. Don't know whether they still make them, but works well against a starfield mat.

Got home yesterday, and noticed a flat asteroid punch out on the TV table. Right, forgot all about Rocketmen (Pirates of the Caribbean punch-and-slot ships in space!)

You could ask around if any friends have old sets gathering dust.
