Do you play wargames: - on a strict schedule - mostly scheduled - deliberately planned, but not really "scheduled" - ad hoc - mostly scheduled with some ad hoc Me? Scheduled once a month (by SWMBO) and ad hoc for playtests, new ideas, and when the bug hits us. |

A rather personal question, if you ask me. I'd write more, but I'm about to poop my pants! |

Our group games most every weekend at one of two houses or at a game shop. Some week there are two games. Sunday is our usual game day, but the odd Friday night slips in too. |

Weekly club game – two regular gaming weekends – average of two ad hoc gaming weekends most years. |

Probably need to restate the question. I have not been out to the game store in 4 years. I am mainly a hobbyist now, painting and taking pictures of my stuff. |

The part of the questioned not asked is: marital status. I think most married gamers find it hard to game more than once or twice a month. Am I right or wrong? |
Yesthatphil | 30 Nov 2016 8:48 a.m. PST |
Weekly mostly plus numerous weekend events and shows. Phil |

Twice a week. Wargames on Sunday mornings and Dungeons and Dragons on Thursday nights. And a once a month (on average) wargame on Friday night with a friend who lives out of town. And I'm married but to a very understanding wife! |

Usually a weekly game with friends who live relatively near and a once a month game involving an 80 mile round trip- that sometimes get missed if the weather is bad. Making up for lost time- had about 25 years with virtually no games; family life and a 70 hour a week job left little time for hobbies. |
richarDISNEY | 30 Nov 2016 9:34 a.m. PST |
Ad hoc. I'm lucky to get to the table more than 4 times a year.

If we are talking about games, usually once a week. Though recently a combination of players (including myself) being out of town, various family situations and all, the 1870 battle of Loigny has been set up ready to go since early November and it looks like it may not get played this coming Thursday. If so, then it has to wait for another two weeks as the lead Prussian player can't make it next week. If it doesn't go tomorrow we'll try out the new Triumph rules instead since that can fit on the dining table. |

About once a month we get together at my house for a game. |
warwell | 30 Nov 2016 10:20 a.m. PST |
- ad hoc whenever I can squeeze a game in (so very irregular) |
ashauace6970 | 30 Nov 2016 10:31 a.m. PST |
Fortunate to play twice a week usually Once at my home in the game room and Fridays in a great friend's basement |
Shagnasty | 30 Nov 2016 11:04 a.m. PST |
Have been gaming almost every Sunday for 12 years with an occasional other game. All that may change now as our FLGS has closed. We are now dependent on home gaming unless we can find a new neutral venue. |

Our group meets every Thursday. Every now and again we play a big game on a Saturday. Ochoin- from a rather rude vintage of Chateaux Thames Embankment |

Since the missus moved across the country to study for a few years and I only see her on holidays, I've been getting a game in just about every week. We usually also put on bigger games a few times a year. |

Work and family has kept me from gaming too much. I have been able to have a few games this year and hopefully more next year. I think I have had more time painting this year, but that's becasue I can grab an hour or so here and there. |
