Hello all

Looking for anyone on here or if you know of someone to do a small 3D project for me. Looking to have made 25 3D printed 3" hexes, an probably 1/4" to 1/2 inch thick. Wanting to try an use them for CY6 games. where you don't have to use a hexed mat. Just a curious thought an wanting to see if its worth the effort to try this idea. I planned to place magnets on the side of the hexes so they can be linked together for movement. Any thoughts or suggestions please an thank you.

Or you could go for mdf;

That'll cost a fortune for a 3-D print.

Better to have them made out of resin, or laser cut, I suspect.

If I were you, I'd just mark some hexes on a fabric mat of the desired size, and call it good. Much cheaper and easier to carry around to games.

I did this with mdf bases at the Joy of 6 show in July. Inspired by the old Heroclix |Crimson Skies system. Worked very well. I'd recommend using a clear sheet template for measuring range – use the mdf hexed and raw round them with a Sharpie!

I'd be up to give it a shot. I've already done similar stuff on my printer and it wouldn't be that expensive if you are sticking to the numbers you mention.

Drop me a line at tim dot gerritsen at gmail dot com to discuss (I see you can't get PMs).
