Aka as 'Runaway Down', the out number Royalist horse have to contend with a combined arms force of the Western Association army under Waller. We had a SUPER blast playing this with Victory Without Quarter rules. Quick, fun, and in melee combat by turn 2 on an 8x6 foot board! (ya gotta have a plan, though). Anyway full AAR is on my blog: link YIS, Alan |

It has all ways bothered me Hopton had 2000 horse that ran off to Oxford and ONLY 1800 come back as the relief force, The Oxford Army's horse must have been of a different caliber than Hopton's horse. |

Sorry I missed it. I really enjoyed your game at MilCon. |

Like the idea of allowing maneuver to have 1/2 a move and a formation change. May not be historical(?), but certainly would move the game along nicely. Thanks for the report. My son and I tried and enjoyed these rules. Though had some issues with figuring out movement in terrain and across obstacles. |

Brucka – as for movement through terrain, we have come up with the following: Crossing an obstacle takes 1/2 of your movement if you are in formed order (not open order). Guns may not move over/through it unless on a road. Same restrictions for any delaying terrain (woods, marsh, steep hill). Guns may not move over/through this type of terrain it unless on a road. If in open order, you just move through it. But – being in open order in these rules will get you charged by EVERYONE! Hope that helps. YIS, Alan |
